What do you get when you cross a Dr. Seuss fever dream with a bottle of cheap bourbon? Mardis Gras World. “What’s Mardis Gras world?” you ask. It’s the place people can visit and reminisce about the night they probably can’t recall.
Mardis Gras, which is French for “Fat Tuesday” and an annual celebration of all things decadent before the holy season of Lent, is today! And tonight the streets of Nah’lans will be filled with enthusiastic partygoers, costumes, music and, of course, enormous and complex floats for the annual parade.
If you’ve ever wondered what happens with all of those floats from the Mardis Gras Parade every March, you probably have too much time on your hands … or you’re always thinking about warehousing solutions like us over here at Ernest Packaging Solutions. Simply put, Mardis Gras World is where these floats go the other 364 days of the year as they are stored and reworked into new floats for the next big celebration.
Warehousing sounds boring, but it’s anything but. And if you’re in charge of maintaining a warehouse, then you know all too well how much things like racks, layout, humidity, temperature and packaging play a role in running a successful operation. It doesn’t matter if you’re storing 15-foot pink and yellow peacocks or a shipment of plain white T-shirts, it has to work.
Every one of our customers’ goods spends time in a warehouse. They rely on us to package their products, engineer a solution for the type of warehouse (or warehouses) to which the products are going, the duration products need to stay there and the trips between warehouses en route to the destination.
Contact us today to learn how our packaging and engineering experts can help your packaging survive the warehouse. And Happy Mardis Gras – here are some beads!
