The Limitless Possibilities of Corrugated

October 08, 2015

Where some people see a stack of corrugated cardboard, others see something else. They see a robot, a race track or even a skateboard. No, these people don’t need to have their eyes checked! They have imagination!

Right now, the Global Cardboard Challenge is underway to see who can get the most creative with corrugated. It’s just for kids, which made some of our package designer veterans sad, because they totally would have won! But seeing children around the world experience the joy of creating something out of cardboard and making their imagination a reality is what matters most.

This annual event was inspired after a crafty kid named Caine built an arcade out of cardboard and the entire world fell in love with his story. (We even Buzzed about it!) Now, students around the world create any and everything they can think of and come together and play. This year’s event culminates on October 10th.

Let’s take a look at one of last year’s winning videos showing what the Global Cardboard Challenge looked like in Bermuda:

So. Cool!

What we love about this, aside from seeing some future Ernest employees practicing their skills, is it highlights a very important part of what we believe. Every packaging company has the materials to make something—the corrugated, the inners, the sealed air, the whatever—but Ernest Packaging Solutions has the creative power to design and build something amazing. It’s not about the materials; it’s about what you can do with them.

When we look at a stack of corrugated cardboard, we see endless possibilities. It’s how we keep moving packaging forward and keep your business on the road. Contact us today to see how we can put our imagination to work solving your packaging challenges (and maybe when we’re done we can all make a robot with the leftovers).
