We always know we’re going to create something epic when we partner with the fearless creators at Signal. Like us, they view the word “impossible” as “let’s try it.” That’s how we’ve been able to take cardboard and turn it into groundbreaking creations that make people do a double take. Our corrugated drum kit and paper guitar were created thanks to our collaboration with Signal. Now, those same instruments are used by world-famous musicians in our Cardboard Sessions series.
This intimate jam session brings paper to life in a whole new way. It also gives artists the freedom to push the boundaries of music—leading to riffs that you won’t be able to (or want to) get out of your head.
Episode 4 of Cardboard Sessions goes heavy with grunge thanks to Otis, aka O of Fluf, Sarah Linton of Harshmellow and drummer Dale Crover of Melvins. O has served as lead vocalist and guitarist for his band since the 90s. He also started another band, Harshmellow, which is where Sarah jams as bassist. On drums, we have the only and only Dale. While he’s best known for playing with Melvins, his talent has touched several bands, including Men of Porn, Shrinebuilder, Crystal Fairy and even a brief stint with Nirvana.
No scripts make this trio unstoppable. They draw creativity from the one-of-a-kind instruments they’re jamming on and kick it up a dozen notches.
