We’re Going Big South of the Border
June 30, 2026
It’s a dream come true: Ernest is now officially an international company. We’re soft launching our 60,000 square foot facility with a design center and CAD capabilities in Tijuana, Mexico in June. By July, we’ll be ready to take full advantage of the market’s HUGE potential! Demand for packaging within Mexico is already strong — projected to grow to $30 billion in 2026. Add to that the opportunity to better support our U.S. customers who also operate in Mexico and you can see why getting our South of the border operations up and running has been a top priority this year.
We’ve assembled an amazing Ernest de Mexico team under the leadership of Rosalio Hernandez, a packaging veteran with deep experience building business in the Mexican market. He’s joined by Director of Sales Narciso Castro, Human Resources Director Denisse Barreto, and Regional Controller Antonio Ramos. Together, they will be establishing our customer base, expanding the team and sharing our unique Ernest culture south of the border. Oh, and have you met our Coordinador de Cuentos de Advertencia (that’s Cautionary Tale Coordinator for those that need to brush up on their Spanish), Pan Dulce Renata de la Resurrección or Dulce for short? She and Dudley will be teaming up to bring the freshness together. ỉMucho gusto!

We’re thrilled because this team brings a proven playbook for building a packaging business in Mexico. They know the market. They know the demand. And they know plenty of customers hungry for a flexible, agile provider that has a personal touch and true passion for building strong, lasting relationships. Ernest de Mexico will kick things off in Tijuana with plans to expand to Monterey, Ciudad Juarez, Guadalajara, Chihuahua and beyond as business gets moving.
