Throwback Thursday — Creative Christmas Packaging

December 20, 2018

Excited young friends exchanging

It’s the most wonderful time of the year, and that means all sorts of beautiful gifts underneath the Christmas tree! Well, that’s the idea, anyway. Whether you made the naughty or nice list this year, these examples of creative Christmas packaging will bring a smile to your face!

These bottles of beer look just like Santa’s little helpers, complete with pointy hats! Okay, so the designer clarifies that these are supposed to be “nisse,” a type of Scandinavian gnome that lives in barns. That would explain the adorable barn-shaped packaging!

This striking paper box design would almost be a shame to wrap up! By pulling on the orange loop, it unfolds like an awesome origami sculpture to reveal the equally amazing paper star ornament inside. Beautiful AND functional!

When it comes to clever and cathartic Christmas packaging, this one takes the cake… er, takes the Christmas cookies? The Punch-a-Present is a great way to relieve holiday stress: punch through one of the tissue paper circles and pull out the gift waiting on the other side!

French bread isn’t usually the first thing that springs to mind when we think of Christmas carbs. Fruit cake, sure. Gingerbread, you betcha. But you might change your opinion when you see how this loaf was carved out to fit a small gift inside.

There’s nothing like a mug of warm cocoa on Christmas morning, but one Reddit user decided to put his own mug on display under the tree. We already feel enough pressure knowing Santa is watching us around the holidays; this is a step way too far!!
