A CAREER. A CHALLENGE. A TRUCKLOAD OF FUN.

WHAT’S IT LIKE WORKING HERE?

OK, we’re going to give it all away in the first sentence: it’s not easy. It takes dedication to work for Ernest. That goes for all 500-plus of us. From inside the warehouse to out there on the highway. From the front office to the salespeople in the field. We work our collective tails off.

But here’s the kicker: we put serious emphasis on having fun.

It might come in the form of the problem-pummeling antics of the E-Team. Or maybe it’s our Cardboard Chaos where we make the impossible out of paper. Or it could be the celebrations, awards and accolades across our divisions. It comes down to this: when you enjoy what you do, it rubs off on the people around you. Which includes coworkers, clients and community alike.

IF YOU’RE HIRING, WHY SAY “NOT HIRING”?

At Ernest, we’re always looking for the best and brightest in the industry. But when we decided to get the word out a couple of years back, we wanted to do it differently. Every company that has an opening always puts a “Now Hiring” sign on their window or posts the same message on their website.

So we decided to do the opposite.

Through a series of videos starring our own VP of Talent, Vince Vincent, we featured interviews with a sheep, a robot, a cartoon dog and many more. All to illustrate that we didn’t want sheep, but leaders. Not robots, but individuals. And never caricatures, but real people. By telling the world who we WEREN’T looking for, we ended up finding exactly the people WERE.

WHO RUNS THIS PLACE, ANYWAY?

Short answer? Charles Wilson, our Chairman, CEO and Founder. But there’s a reason we put that leading-the-witness type of question up above. One of the great parts about Ernest is they listen to their employees. They appreciate and encourage getting real feedback from the boots on the ground, i.e. the voices of every employee.

Which is how the EBC, or Ernest Brand Council, was founded.

It’s a group of volunteers who are the true keepers of Ernest culture. They have the power to make things happen for their peers. They’re the ears to their department. The EBC brings our 500-plus people from across the divisions together as one community. All with the end goal of making the world a little more Ernest.

WHY NOT HEAR IT FROM THE SOURCE?

As a reward for reading this far down the page, we’re going to stop writing now.

Instead, we’ll show you some quotes straight from the horse’s mouth.

“If you put in the effort, you’ll see the rewards.” —Kyle Hand, Client Relationship Manager, Las Vegas, NV

“In order for us to grow and become stronger, you have to bring in new people. That’s where the ideas come from.” —Linda Rodriquez, Director of Corporate Accounting, Los Angeles, CA

“Ernest has never let me down.” Anne Soison, Director of Operations, Reno, NV

“I look at myself as an extension of my clients business.” —Rudy Chavez, Senior Consultant, Automation and Flexible Packaging, Los Angeles, CA
