At Ernest Packaging Solutions, we’re absolutely in love with packaging. We’re also wild about cutting-edge innovation. And it’s safe to say that we think ice cream is pretty OK, too — especially with whipped topping, chocolate sauce and a cherry on top!
So when we ran across this inventive edible packaging that protects sweet frozen treats, of course we went a bit bonkers!
The Daily Mail gives us the skinny on this sweet new product made by the creators WikiCells, called Wiki Ice Cream. The cool new edible packaging acts just like a “natural” packaging. It’s meant to be eaten along with its contents, like the skin of an apple. The biodegradable packaging can also be disposed of waste-free, just like an orange peel.
Sweet deal, and so cool! This is the kind of innovative solutions we enjoy, and not just because we get to taste test the food in our Innovation Lab.
