Cardboard Polling Booths Get Impeached

May 12, 2015

When Brits showed up to vote in last week’s United Kingdom elections, there was one thing that wasn’t on the ballots: Cardboard polling booths.

The paper booths were used in the UK for the first time last year. Election officials pitched them as being a “funky” way to save money, as they are considerably cheaper than the standard wooden booths.

Screen Shot 2015-06-04 at 11.32.34 AMApparently they weren’t quite funky enough, because the cardboard booths lacked both the stability and privacy needed on Election Day. So they’ve been tossed out of office, and the old wooden ones have been voted back in.

As you can see from our Cardboard Chaos video series, we love cardboard! But the key to effective packaging is understanding what material is right for each project. Cardboard is versatile and lightweight, but maybe your project needs something more heavy-duty — like the wooden crates that our team at Pallet Guy offer. Maybe the project requires something lighter like a mailer instead.

That’s why you need a partner like Ernest who knows all of the strengths and weaknesses of each packaging material — cardboard, wood, bubble wrap, foam, etc. We’ll help you find just the right material for each project.

We want a chance to earn your vote. Contact us today about how we can make your packaging a winning candidate.
