Our Houston division has some great news to share — our family has grown! Give a warm welcome to Eddie Canales, Director of Client Relations.
Eddie has been a friend to Ernest Packaging Solutions for a long time; he originally began his relationship working as a sales rep for one of our vendors at our Houston location. He brings to his new position 18 years of experience, from customer service to general management.
Learn more in this brief Q&A with Eddie:
EPS: What’s your favorite packaging of all time?
EC: I created a six-pack wine carrier for a (grocery store) company called HEB as a trial marketing effort for them. It really blew the doors off. The wine carrier started with maybe 2,000 customers and in six months grew to about 200,000.
EPS: What are your hobbies and passions?
EC: I like to play a little basketball here and there, and I help my dad when I can — we’ve got about 100 acres south of San Antonio. It’s great to work the cows and horses with him. I’ve been married for almost 21 years, which keeps my life very full. We have two daughters who are really into volleyball, and so it’s pretty busy in our house when it’s club volleyball season!
EPS: Ernest Packaging Solutions takes on all sorts of challenges in its online video series called The Ernest Challenge. What would you like to see EPS and President Tim Wilson tackle next?
EC: How about bull riding! [Laughs] Let’s see how a package does on top of a bull.
