How to Use 3D Printing to Become Batman

When Marty McFly went to the future in Back to the Future II, he went to 2015. While we don’t have hoverboards or flying cars yet, the real 2015 is actually much cooler than the make-believe one. One reason? 3D printing.
Just a year or two ago, 3D printing — the process of turning digital renderings into three-dimensional solid objects — seemed like a wild, futuristic idea with few real-world applications. Now people are creating bigger and more complex things with 3D printers, and it’s just a matter of time before we’re using them to solve any number of problems.

Full-size Batman armour
People who say that Bruce Wayne didn’t have any superpowers are wrong. He had super wealth. He spent millions of dollars to become the Dark Knight, but you can become the Caped Crusader with nothing more than a good 3D printer.

Model cars have been around for generations, but 3D printing is taking them to a whole new level. Check out this model of an Aston Martin DB5, which is the car the James Bond drove in Skyfall. Sweet.
