A New Year's Resolution You Can Keep: Packaging Your Holiday Decor For Next Year

Now that the holidays have come and gone, there’s something BESIDES following your New Year’s Resolution that you need to worry about. How are you going to pack up those holiday decoration so that they are in tip-top shape for next year’s festivities?

Many households carry collections of sentimental holiday decorations. So what’s the best way to ensure that the next generation will be able to enjoy the same decorations? Real Simple magazine recently made some super-smart suggestions on how to keep them looking as good as new.

Storing ornaments inside of plastic cups help them from banging around inside of a larger box:

Try packing your wreathes in their own bag.  Really, they do deserve their own home:

Want to keep your light strands knot-free? Loop them around an empty coffee can!:

 

As a final tip, invest in a box or bag for your life size (no one will know it’s not real), tree:
