It’s official. Corrugated can be turned into literally anything. Ernest has moved the cardboard game forward with paper bikes, skateboards, surfboards and more. And now there is finally a place to go and relax after a big day of extreme sporting … a bar made out of corrugated.
The latest cardboard incarnation comes from Ernest Packaging Solutions’ hometown of Los Angeles. A group of artists created a temporary pop-up bar that is a 0.65:1 scale replica of the famous Loos Bar in Vienna (aptly renamed Los Bar in L.A.).

Not too bad, right?
The temporary pub was designed to be built quickly and cheaply. The famed marble coffered ceiling? Cardboard. The backlit onyx wall fixture? It’s now paper, sawdust and glue. Brass handrails? Pool noodles! That is some next-level source management right there!
But before you book your flight to L.A. so you can partake in some libations with other corrugated enthusiasts, you should know that Los Bar had to close for good due to some neighborly complaints. Probably from someone who doesn’t like whimsical craftsmanship and parties.
So instead you will just have to create your own cardboard box bar in your backyard. It doesn’t matter what the neighbors think. They are probably just jealous they didn’t think of it first anyway.
Like a good cocktail in a fancy bar, innovation never goes out of style. And with Ernest Packaging Solutions you have a packaging design partner who knows how to engineer solutions whatever the fashion. Contact us today to learn more. Cheers!
