Like most people, we’re excited about the upcoming release of “Transformers: Age of Extinction.” But unlike most, we aren’t giddy for the release because we get to see Mark Wahlberg dramatically emoting alongside mind-blowing special effects.

No: What we’re stoked about is seeing one of our favorite things – the creative and innovative use of materials – on the big screen, blockbuster-style.

You see, in the “Transformers” franchise, metamorphosing Autobots perfectly illustrate that when it comes to everyday objects (like cars, trucks or – ahem! – cardboard) there’s often more to them than meets the eye.

Preachin’ to the choir here, “Transformers”!

Take the aforementioned corrugated, for example.

Sure, it’s used for getting products safely from Point A to Point B and for providing felines with lifetimes of entertainment.

But did you know it’s also superbly (and surprisingly!) suited for shredding on the snow? See what we mean in the video below:

We had such fun creating the snowboard that we’re going to be transforming some other awesome cardboard rides very soon!  Watch this space!

Like Hollywood’s shape-shifting robots, corrugated is an adaptable, versatile, transformable material that’s limited only by the imaginations of those utilizing it.
